BREADVENTURE

THE HAGUE . THE NETHERLANDS

ARCHITECTURE

Architectural transformation of a formal tannery factory.

To reunite two parts of town, a passage is created through the building. The new added glass element is the connection between the two parts of the building. Inside this glass element the bakery is placed.

The bakery leverages gravity.
The process of making bread is based on the grinding process, in a grain mill.
The bread ingredients are processed from the attic; where the bags of flour are stored. All the way down to the ground flour;
where is arrives as freshly baked bread.

The building also includes a Nutrition Centre, lunch room and offices.
